Mel Vera is a Colombia native raised in New York City. After graduating from Babson College, her degree in Environmental Economics inspired her to start Atlus, a nonprofit based in Medellin focused on reducing youth violence and unemployment through blockchain, AI, and ecology education. After serving as Executive VP for the Blockchain Education Network and aiding Business Development at Injection Protocol, Mel began her current role directing Ecosystem & Education for DoinGud, an NFT platform empowering creators and social impact organizations. Since joining DoinGud Mel has founded NFTclassroom.org an non-profit focused on reducing the socioeconomic gap by teaching minority students about NFTs, art, and financial literacy. While also co-founding AbraVera ventures, a female led advisory group pioneering the evolution of intentional innovation & humane integration in Web 3.0. Mel currently sits as an advisor for RealItems.io, blockchainedu.org, and other emerging companies in the Web 3.0 space.
